When experience is the mother of invention

The reliability of the DITEC Entrematic brand in the sector of automatic doors doesn't only depend on the excellent quality of the products, which are amply certified in accordance with the most demanding European standards. We havet an interesting case dealt with by ALTES, the company run by Alberto Tessarolo, the DITEC Expert in the Vicenza area.

It involves the installation of “special” industrial rapid doors carried out at an important paper factory in the Greater Venice Region.

We asked Alberto Tessarolo, the manager at ALTES, what his work involved and what solutions he had found.

“The customer had two specific needs.

The factory produces paper and light cardboard for food use, and we had to install flexible industrial doors that had to close the passages but also filter the incoming air when closed. Workers operating in areas with high temperatures needed the fresh air but the impurities such as insects, dust and other unwanted particles couldn't be let through.
To meet these needs we worked on adjusting DITEC rapid doors: a Smart Reset, five Sectors and one fold-up model, the Traffic.

We replaced the standard windows provided in the canvases with a microperforated net that also provided a better view of the outside.

The second request was to close a passage through which a conveyor belt ran with a rapid door.
Above the conveyor belt, which carries large rolls of paper, we installed a Smart Reset precisely because of its self-repairing features.

In fact, if the systems interfaced with the conveyor and controlling the door's automatic opening fail, the reels would hit the canvas.
Since it is can come away from its guides, it prevents damage from being done.
And the canvas can easily be put back in place automatically with no damage either to the rapid door or to the reel, thanks to the self-repair mechanism of the Reset model.

A “ simple” but effective example which shows that it isn’t enough just to have the right product – you also need a certain dose of intuition and technical ability to solve the customer’s needs in the most satisfactory way.
