10/05/2010 | My new remote control for the gate. How do I program it?

After thinking about it for a while, I finally decided to automate not only the gate, but also the garage, because I was tired of having to get out of the car every time to open it by hand, especially when it was raining!

What's more, I chose the ENERGY SAVING installation, which is good for the environment as well as my wallet. It even works when there's no power because it has a set of batteries that control the gate when the mains electricity is down.

Now it's a breeze: I arrive in my car, push the remote control button, the gate opens, then the garage door opens, I park, get out of the car, and go into the house without feeling even a drop of rain!

After having seen the benefits, the rest of the family wanted to enjoy the same convenience too. So I went to the installation store yesterday and bought five more new remote controls that I'm going to program today through the automatic opener's control panel. It's Saturday so I'm not at work.

But, how do I program the new remote controls?

The installer explained it to me yesterday but now I can't remember the various steps to follow. The new remote control boxes do have instructions with diagrams but I don't understand anything: I'm not very good at these technical matters!
OK, it's not that bad. I'll call the installer and have him explain the procedure to me again!
Ugh...no one answered. Ah…today's Saturday! And now what's my wife going to do?

No, I absolutely have to program these remote controls.
Let me try to understand how to do it by looking at the instructions and diagrams a little closer, but what's this? The manufacturer’s website? I can probably find more information there.
I go online, the site opens and...look at what I've found!

I click on the link. A video instruction page opens. There are various options but I immediately recognise the code of my new remote controls - obviously, it's written on the box!
I click on the link, and on the next page I even recognise the name of my gate system... BINGO!!!!!
There's a very clear video that shows all the steps I need to follow. I didn't believe it was that easy!
And, voilà, five minutes later and the new remote controls work perfectly. Peace for my entire family... and, for my wife!!!!
